Why do
we call it “Career Jujitsu”?
Because just like the
Japanese fighting art, it’s all about leverage. You
leverage what you know—against what the employer
needs—to get the job you want.
Then you present yourself as their best
source of solution. You have to become their best
source or they may hire someone else.
But getting hired
is just the start. |
You next leverage your capabilities
to massage the job (mold it into the job you want to do
the way you want to do it) so you can deliver on the
promise of being the source of solution you were hired
to be.
Then, keep molding and remodeling the job over
time so you remain the source of solution as new
challenges, goals and opportunities arise.
Stay current
to stay relevant. Then, when the job (and the employer)
have out grown you (or you have out grown them), find,
capture and keep new dream jobs. This is a process that
continues throughout your career.
It doesn’t stop
working until you stop working. Interested?
